What it is
Rovescio — "reversed" — is calfskin finished on the flesh side, raising a fine, even nap. It is suede done at calf grade: shorter nap, denser fibre, deeper colour than the split suedes of the mass trade.
Why the House uses it
Suede is the daylight register of the Gulf wardrobe — matte where Vernice is mirror, relaxed where Box Calf is formal. The House almost always sets it against a smooth leather in the same piece: the pairing of textures is a VERANI signature across the MOVIMENTO line.
